About

Welcome to my mixed media and art journaling playground!

I started this blog in July 2014 soon after I had discovered mixed media and art journalling. I remember being so confused about all the supplies and techniques and feeling a little lost. If I could give just one piece of advice to anyone starting out on their creative journey, it would be to 'just do it'! Don't worry about what you can and can not do - anything goes! Experimenting is part of the fun! What you create doesn't have to be perfect - just enjoy creating it!

I wouldn't call myself an artist, but I like to mess around with paint, paper and arty stuff. I don't have much "talent" in the traditional sense, but that's why I love mixed media arts: you don't need talent, just passion for colours, textures and patterns and I most certainly have that!

Join me in my quest for artistic fulfillment. I hope to bring together some resources from the web, as well as share my own explorations of mixed media techniques and products. The best way to explore my blog is through the menu bar at the top or the Archive/Labels in the left sidebar. My Pinterest link in the menu bar will take you to my Pinterest board, which I use as a gallery for this blog. The Video tab shows some of my YouTube videos. If you're looking for something specific, use the search box in the right side bar. (It works remarkably well - I use it too to find stuff on my blog.)

A little bit about me: I live in Gloucestershire, UK with my husband and our 12-year-old son. I'm originally from Hungary, by the way, in case you were wondering about my name. Apart from mixed media and art journaling, I also enjoy photography and digital arts (in fact, I've been planning to start another blog, but I never get around to it!), as well as reading, cycling and walking in the countryside.

If you want to find out more about the creative side of my life, check out this post I wrote for a creative blog hop.

I hope you enjoy your visit.  Don't forget to bookmark my blog or follow me by email or on Google+ or Facebook - (you can sign up in the right sidebar).

Happy arting,

Zsuzsa

PS. Here's a picture of me and my family. A triple selfie taken a few years ago near where we live.

and one taken in Wales a couple of weeks later.

In November 2015, we added Oreo to our family. I regularly post photos of him in my WOYWW posts.
